Haha, so basically FWR is a part of Clow, huh? Well, that makes sense. He was a "relative" of Clow and second in power only to him, plus Fay is the Official Expositor of Things Left Unexplained so we can pretty much trust his guess.

... in a way, the old fandom theories about FWR being Clow and Yuuko's "child" were kind of right. Oh, my.

I wonder what kind of feedback CLAMP gets from Shonen Magazine readers (never really looked at the TRC comments on Shonen's website). That short FWR part definitely adds an important aspect to the story. Good stuff. I'm leaning towards the Watanuki's thought/wish theory, but can't be sure, since CLAMP never makes things so obvious so early in the story (the story now being xxxHolic's).

Fay is sure slow with his commentary. I swear his droopy eyes means he was asleep half the series.

Thanks for the translation. Everyone is leaning towards FWR being a result of Watanuki's wish now...but wouldn't it be possible for him to be the result of Clow Reed's? I mean he is the one that techinically froze Yuuko in that existence, wouldn't that possibly also constitute the creation of a being that's soul desire was to do something about her being frozen. Or maybe i missed something...

Clow was honestly my first thought, and also honestly I think way more plausible than Watanuki. But the idea of it being Watanuki is intriguing, at least for me.

But he is the only person a part of Clow who has such an strong wish. And Clow put efforts into stopping FWR... and if holic is still running and he had not enough answers in trc there has to be a reason ;D Wata lives in a magic house, he could 'gather' magic with time.

But! this is a story where someone was the clone of their own son, we see pretty clearly the chicken can come before the egg, besides the egg, or down the street from the egg if it wants to in this series.

Still, personally I think FWR is a fragment of the real FWR. Yes him coming from Watanuki or Syaoran still lets him be a direct descendant of Clow, but it being someone from Clow and Yuuko's time seems a better fit.
