So I learned after writing this entry that Petherbridge and Walter actually rewrote a good chunk of the script, specifically the parts about the Harriet/Peter relationship. Which explains partly why it's uneven, and also why I actually think it's worth watching because they are so perfect in the parts. But I think the adaptations they did (the first three Vane novels) start with the strongest and go downhill from there.

T9T is pretty great! I've seen copies around HPB; I actually got mine at Pegasus.
