The Utena joke is perfect for this! Like they say, you can't make an omelete without breaking some eggs. They already destroyed everything anyway, it's not like the destruction will stop if they sit around and wait.

Yuuko also said once that for every planet you destroy, another one is born, for ever action you take, something is made or something disappears. The universe has a way of taking care of itself by the laws of action and reaction. I'm sure that if they destroy every law, the universe will still reconstruct itself from the new laws afterwards. Of course, nobody would be alive to see the new begining but that's a small price to pay for the birth of a new universe, right? And maybe then we can get the end of this story which has become very boring already.

I don't know what you think. All I want is for this story to end once and for all, happily or tragically I don't care, I just want it over and finished.
