Yeah, I think it was a really honest anime in some different & surprising ways--like, the Seleçaõ system is fantastic, but it presents this image of Japan as a country where literally anything and everything can be bought for a price, whether it's cleaning up a dismemberment serial murder or making the Prime Minister say "gyafu" for ¥60 or bribing an entire prefectural assembly. I agree that it would make a good live-action film (unlike many anime), but yeah, if Hollywood got it...I don't even want to think about it.

But yeah, really, one of the best anime I've seen in years.
