Oh lovely. I really liked the tension (and the culmination of course, very nice and not gratuitous).
Watson's despair at having lost not one, but two lovers was raw and quite acute, which moved me and I found myself irritated that Irene wasn't a little more sympathetic... but then, I always identified more with Watson than with the cool operators that are Holmes and Irene.
And Holmes is there in every word and gesture, a definitely between then when there's in fact nothing between them - though sex with clothes is much fun!
I also loved the little idiosyncrasies that correlated the Movie-verse and the books! Watson changed the heights! I <3 that!
