I just watched that AMV. Wow. Just, wow. The first part especially is like a visual explication of postwar urban futurism--that the destruction of the city is already inherent in its creation/existence.

Also, you should totally watch the anime! It and the manga are partially based on Fritz Lang's Metropolis.

And finally, someone should make an AMV of that anime to one of Janelle Monae's songs. Or three.
