I don't think I have read Shakespeare's Philosophy. This play, as you might be able to tell, was written under heavy influence of Harold Bloom's Shakespeare and the Invention of the Human(Rosalind being called a "romantic realist" is a direct quote from that book). I have since also devoured Marjorie Garber's Shakespeare After All, and I think in many ways my attitudes now are closer to hers, which is one reason I don't think I'd be able to write the play the same way these days.
