Yeah, I'm rereading the page now, finally...and I think you're right. The line now reads

And,
I'm sorry for breaking the eyeglasses you left.
They're in the storeroom, but--

For some reason I was misreading 割る as　渡す, which didn't help. :-) Thanks for the input! And please don't stop, it's very helpful.
