That's a good point; the series editor actually explicitly lists all the genres of literature these comics reproduce in the part I left out. There's a convergence in spite of everyone's intentions.

Which actually is sort of disappointing, in some ways; its frequently depressing subject matter is one of the things I dislike most about the literary fiction genre.
