If I were going to relate them to Roman poets, I think Murasaki is Vergil and Sei is Catullus.

I haven't read Torikaebaya monogatari; I've only just learned it exists. I've actually read more about the period than the literature of it; other than this I've only read Murasaki's diary and the Genji.
