I wasn't aware until I was reading the program before the show that a lot of the more famous tales in Euroamerica were probably actually made up by Euroamericans (Aladdin and Sinbad are coming to my mind right off the top of it), which made me doubly glad that this play didn't touch any of those spurious ones.

The cast in this production was mixed, which was good on multiple levels, particularly since it's no more than the way things were in Baghdad at that time.
