Oh, yes! Vec Makropulos is great!!!! I love Janacek, I love Capek, I love Emilia, I love everything about it. And oh man, Karita Mattila would make a fantastic Emilia.

This was actually the opera that led to Czech Beer and Opera Night, in which I went with a friend to Bohemian Hall, the Czech beer garden in Astoria, to drink copious amounts of Czech beer while watching Vec Makropulos on my laptop. Because for some reason that seemed like a good idea at the time.
