I too saw Endgame

The only thing I knew going in was that there was no post-credits scene, which is accurate.

Overall, "messy but emotionally satisfying" is my verdict. I enjoyed it quite a lot as a movie--I also enjoyed Infinity War--and there are a few sequences that are brilliant, and many parts that are very good.

Quick hits:

- I was prepared for Steve to die, and then he…didn't? And got a (very straight) happy ending? And he wielded Mjolnir? And it was awesome? That was an unexpected bonus! Also when he called Peter "Queens!" I died, it was amazing, I love Steve forever, the end.

- Everything with Thor was deeply unfortunate, starting with the fact that the Russo Brothers apparently were incapable of doing rewrites in light of Ragnarok and ending with the whole…fat joke…thing. I was honestly expecting Frida to give Thor a glow-up that got rid of it, which would have been well past the point I was already sick of it, and then it kept…going… Even seeing Thor in a Norwegian sweater (and Valkyrie in a fishing sweater, omg) was not enough to make up for that.

- The thing with Natasha was BULLSHIT. And every scene with Hawkeye was TERRIBLE, as was his hair and his tattoo and his EVERYTHING.

- Not enough Carol and her alpha lesbian haircut!!!

- The New York sequence was AMAZING, especially the part in the elevator, I laughed out loud and the audience applauded, it was GREAT.

- The queer "representation" was beyond insulting, go fuck yourself Kevin Feige.

Finally, I think they have managed to sufficiently muddy the waters on how time travel + quantum realm + Infinity Stones works that basically anything that hasn't been said onscreen explicitly by the end is fixable. So I fully expect Loki to waltz out of a fissure in reality in Thor 4, and not a moment too soon.

I'm still bitter about Natasha though.
