Once in a blue moon.

Technically the blue moon was yesterday, but whatever. I have to admit, after seeing "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" again, that I liked it a lot better this time. It made more sense and I was able to accept the fates of the characters much more easily. Except for the one character who gets it in the middle of the film. Unfair! No! Uncool! Deserved better! I stand by, however, by my statement that it's crying out for a fourth movie. And I have to wonder about Lord Cutler Beckett's true motivations, too. But maybe I should ask Amanda what she thinks about that. ^_^ Spike said that perhaps the movie making more sense had something to do with me being completely sober. She might be right. Or not. I should say, I saw the movie Monday night and then we went back to the hotel and had my graduation champagne, and I had that song "Hoist the Colors" stuck in my head for the next few days. I will post the lyrics shortly, because it has a lot to do with my mood. And my feelings about graduation, etc.

So indeed, as if you hadn't guessed, I'm back in Jersey. Trying to unpack all my crap. Wish me luck with that. Next up, the units and Spike are heading to Wildwood, so the bird and I will be watching the house this weekend. This might be painful. Also, I no longer have health insurance. That's the best graduation gift of all! Or not.

A couple of characters get it in the middle of the film. Both of which deserved better. One of them deserved an onscreen death, too! He's Jonathon Pryce, for gossakes! And he gets a boat. I was upset.

And I have to wonder about Lord Cutler Beckett's true motivations, too.
So do I. Did you wonder, too, about why he choked at the end? He's getting sammiched, and he doesn't even try to make a stand. What's up with him?

Good luck unpacking. That's always an unpleasant part of any move. Packing itself is bad, too. Which do you find the most repugnant?

No health insurance, eh? Just don't get hit by a lorry.

Has anyone ever told you that you are obsessed with people getting hit by a lorry? :)

You know, to be honest I hadn't even remembered Jonathon Pryce's character. I never liked his character very much, actually, which is probably why.

I have a friend who says that Lord Cutler Beckett might be in love with Jack. In an I-hate-you-I-must-destroy-all-pirates kind of way. I'm not sure what to think of that but I was thinking about it as I watched it this time around.

I dislike unpacking more, really, because then you have to find a place for the crap, whereas with packing you just have to shove it in containers.
