Vidding question

Sadly not answered by the recent survey on tools and tech in [community profile] vidding: what are the cool kids using to get rid of logos in clips these days? Any recommendations? I suspect the logos in some of my clips are too blatant for correction, but others should probably be fixable.

If the answer is "mask every clip in AE" I'm going to cry a lot.

I didn't realise one could do it at all. My solution has usually been to cut the Gordian knot by trimming the bottom x pixels out. This works surprisingly well for shows that have the logo in a bottom corner but would be terrible for shows that have it in a top corner.

Yeah, my two solutions are to crop the image or to get DVD source. Would love to know of better options.

well, what logo is it? i know LithumDoll posted a tutorial aaaaaaaaages and aaaaaaages ago about how she blurred the logo but I think that effect could be achieved easier through AE now.

and an alternate but equally un-fun answer is to use the clone stamp instead of mask tool.
