Chapitre 201: The Truth Within the Ruins

To save Sakura, Shaoran wishes from his heart to turn back and regain time. 
That guilt and price is extremely heavy. In front of Shaoran, a boy appeared. 
His is an existence that had to be brought forth in Shaoran's place, so that Shaoran's wish might be granted. 
He is not someone "who must be" originally, but another Shaoran. That is Watanuki.
FWR: "That distortion will bring pain to the parents who saved you. And, to that child himself as well."
Yuuko: "No. Still, the future is not yet decided." 

                                                                                      
So CCS Shaoran & Sakura are dead after all. ;_;

And Watanuki's existence was indeed contingent on that of Shaoran...who basically has brought pain to everyone he loves. Ugh.

If nothing else, like you said it makes my sympathy for the survivors that much smaller.

I don't understand this line, where Watanuki is not someone "who must be" originally, but is the other Syaoran? @_@ What is that?

Can we really conclude that CCS Syaoran & Sakura is really dead afterall? I'm sad ;_;

Keeping the Japanese word order makes it a bit confusing. What it's saying is that Watanuki was not originally meant to exist--originally being in the pre-rewind timeline. In that timeline, he didn't have to exist, and so didn't. But post-rewind, he does have to exist, and is another Shaoran, taking the place of Shaoran in all his relationships in Japan. Which does make it seem very much that when Watanuki talks about his parents being dead, he means CCS Shaoran and Sakura.

But in XXXholic, Yuuko said they were alive.....Unless Wata was also sent back to the past?

What if they are talking about diffrent parents? Like adoptive parents???? (Don't want to believe CCS Sakura and Shaoran are dead.)

I don't actually recall Yuuko ever explicitly saying they were alive. She said some things that were ambiguous, certainly.

There's no parents I can think of besides them, honestly. :(

Thanks for the spoilers, it makes sense like that. So Watanuki was born to take Syaoran's place in Syaoran's world when he changed the past by rewinding the time. The reason why Watanuki was always mentioned along with Syaoran and the confusing idea of the parents that seemed to be similar yet as they were different people we always concluded that they must be different people.
