It seems to me that officially, as far as CLAMP is concerned, Watanuki and Himawari are an item (chapter 199, they tell each other love each other and Doumeki knows about that).

So does the 'ring finger' thing imply that officially (according to CLAMP), Doumeki's got more feelings than he lets on (*squeal!*)? (Or am I reading too much into things? I hope I'm not though!)
