Crowd-Sourced Wiscon Vidshow: Non-Western Fandoms!

So I am going to be putting together a vidshow playlist for the WisCon Vid Party this year, the theme of which will be non-Western fandoms, by which I mean vids with source media that don't originate in Europe or North America. (I am willing to futz this rule of thumb, however, by all means, if there's good reason!)

So, please rec me your favorite non-Western source media vids! I already know about festivids (oh, Festivids = <3), and I am planning to trawl through the vids there to see what comes up, but if you have any Festivids that fit this criterion and are particular favorites, do give them a shout-out, and please do let me know about non-Festivids! Also, I'm tentatively hoping to make this a (mostly?) non-AMV playlist, or to, if possible, compare an AMV versus vids take on a source (yes, I'm thinking of that Paprika festivid) but if there are any absolutely stellar AMVs that relate to Wiscon material that you know about, particularly new ones, please let me know!

Perhaps i'm just tired, but what does that mean?

I think AMVs and vids don't have the same visual grammar, that there's a distinct difference in approach and output between the two.

Oooo, could there be Princess Tutu and Utena vids if the fairy tale panel (esp. the fairy tales in manga panel) is scheduled?

That would be cool! We've showed some of my favorites already, I think, but I'd have to check the lists.

You may already know this or you may not have time, but just in case, veni vidi vids has a massive pinboard of vid recs which you could search by fandom tags.

Unfortunately the fandom tags aren't grouped but if there was a source you were particularly interested in it might be useful.

Sorry, I don't go to Wiscon, so what material would you be interested in? I have a bunch of vids bookmarked for anime fandoms but I don't want to link them if they're not appropriate. Also, by non-AMV do you mean stuff posted by people not usually in that sort of fandom, or a different style or what?

Less political commentary, more YAY COLORS YAY, but Dynamite is... um... dynamite? I think it covers the brightly-colored, dance-filled WTF-ness of Bollywood admirably.
