starlady: (tomoyo magic hope)
[personal profile] starlady
I originally translated this manga for my sister back in November. With the re-release of the nice pretty new editions, I figured I'd go back through my old script and post it here in case anyone else was interested in it. I was much less skillful at the translating back then...only 10 months ago; there was a lot I tinkered with.

I suppose I should mention that I've never even seen the English release of Clover, let alone read it, so for anyone who has some of my choices may seem idiosyncratic. Though I'd love to know what the antagonist's name is in the English version...and I'll be interested to page through Dark Horse's version next year.

The cuts conform to the old four-volume editions.

[a leaf]
Kazuhiko: I refuse.

I’m not a soldier anymore.

I have no reason to accept a government job.

Shogun: You have a reason.

When you were involved in the court-martial, I made allowance for you many times.

Kazuhiko: You’re not doing it nicely.

Shogun: The discussion can be reopened once again.

Kazuhiko: Is that a threat?

Shogun: You think you’re being threatened because you feel guilty about something.

Kazuhiko: Grandmother…

No; Shogun Kou.

How many times have you tried to make me your agent…

Kou: It was right after your sixth court-martial.

“Because the lifespan of the aged shrinks, when you ask me a favor I shall accept it without refusal.”

Kazuhiko: I said that a long time ago.

Kou: Shall I show you in a movie?

Ryuu F. Kazuhiko.

Kazuhiko: …..Don’t call me by my full name.

Kou: The one best suited for this job is you.

Kazuhiko: …Is that your judgment as a wizard?

Kou: Certainly.

Your hand.

I’ll give you a code.

Kazuhiko: ….Secret data?

Is it all right to show it to a private citizen?

Kou: You’re tight-lipped, even without touching your thoughts.

Text: A green leaf?

Kazuhiko: A code?

A spell?

Kou: It’s necessary for this mission.

When it’s finished, it will disappear.

Kazuhiko: What am I being made to do?

Kou: There’s something I want transported.

I want to be happy.

I want to be happy.

I want to be happy with you.

[tiny wings in the forest]
Rabbit: Welcome.

I’ve heard from Kou-sama.

(thought) It seems a very important thing is hidden here.

These are the newest version of auto doll.

Rabbit: Your hand.

I want to be happy.

I want to be happy.

I want to be happy with you.

I want to be your happiness.

Suu: Are you

The person who will take me away?

[the singing waif]
I want to be happy.

I want to be happy.

So

Take me away.

Ran: She’s a cute kid.

Take me away, far away.

Did you change your taste?

Didn’t you dislike children?

Kazuhiko: Screw you.

Gingetsu: Try saying that once more.

Kazuhiko: I said screw you, Gingetsu.

Ran: When Gingetsu brought me here it was in spite of your racket about pedophila.

Kazuhiko: Two years ago you were a kid, Ran.

Ran: I was more of an adult than this girl.

Gingetsu: So, who is she?

Kazuhiko: Her name is Suu.

I don’t know her surname.

I’m doing Grandmother Kou a favor.

Gingetsu: Shogun Kou?

Kazuhiko: At any rate, she said wants me to send her forward.

Gingetsu: To where?

Not here, to elsewhere

Kazuhiko: I don’t know myself.

It seems that girl knows.

Leaving the country by the regular route seems ill-advised.

Ran: That’s why it’s a request for Ran’s work.

Gingetsu: Hey.

Ran: I’ve undertaken it.

No problem.

Kazuhiko: As a lieutenant colonel, Gingetsu receives a high salary. What do you do with all of it?

Ran: Save up for old age.

Would you like to hear it once more?

Suu: Yes.

Take me away

Magic that won’t be dispelled
A kiss that doesn’t end
A dream without waking
Happiness that won’t vanish

Take me away
I want to be happy

Suu: We’ll go to Fairy Park.

Ran: That broken amusement park?

[the cage]
Kazuhiko: It’s a conveyance.

Ran reconstructed it.

However you look at it, it’s a bus.

It’s faster than the brain, this is.

Suu: I’ve never used a thing like this before.

Kazuhiko: You’re some kind of country bumpkin.

Gingetsu: It’s a modem the military built.

Kazuhiko: That, to a private citizen…

Gingetsu: It’s Shogun Kou’s request.

You won’t get off easily.

Kazuhiko: I hope I can get by with just the right hand again.

Gingetsu: Take it.

Suu: Take me away.

Ran: …I was meddled with.

Gingetsu: Where did those two fall?

Ran: I’m searching now.

Gingetsu: Who was it?

The person who interfered?

Ran: I’m searching for that too.

Gingetsu.

Gingetsu: That girl…

Take me away
Not here
To elsewhere

A green leaf?

Take me away

Magic that won’t be dispelled
A kiss that doesn’t end
A dream without waking
Happiness that won’t vanish

Take me away

Is that leaf clover?

I want to be happy

[a maze]
Kazuhiko: Is this your destination?

Suu: No.

Kazuhiko: Stay still.

Are you all right?

Suu: Yes.

Why were we attacked suddenly?

Kazuhiko: I’m sorry. Is that heavy?

Suu: No.

Your right hand.

Kazuhiko: Isn’t there.

It’s an artificial arm.

I knew it. The capabilities of military-grade weapons are different.

Are the radio waves unstable?

[the cat]
kid: It’s the case that you came without wanting to come,

It seems.

Kazuhiko: That’s right.

Kid: So,

Where were you planning to go?

Kazuhiko: Who knows.

Kid: You don’t want to answer?

Kazuhiko: Where we were going for our date is our secret.

Suu: Date?

Kid: It seems your companion doesn’t understand.

Do you like cats?

Suu: Yes.

It’s a real one.

The real ones are valuable, and there are foolish people, too, who might think of stealing them, and they can be made to imitate.

Kid: You understand it well.

Suu: Meow.

Cat: Meow.

Until we understand your identity, please stay here.

Kazuhiko: Hurry it up.

Kid: Tao Hua.

Guide them.

[a radio]
Kazuhiko: Defensive armor with a thickness of five centimeters.

Of course, the door is locked.

It seems the rumors that the leader of the arrogant, chivalrous thieves, the Shao Mao, is a kid are true.

Does us being caught in the Shao Mao’s net mean that we’re still on our side of the ridge?

Suu: “The ridge?”

Kazuhiko: It’s on this side from the border.

You really don’t know much about anything, do you?

Suu: Ah!

I want to be happy

I want to be happy.

I want to be happy with you.

I want to be happy.

I want to be your happiness.

Kazuhiko: I clapped because I thought it was wonderful. Was it inappropriate?

Suu: It’s the first time I’ve received applause.

Kazuhiko: It seems unbelievable, but are there really no human beings within that building?

Suu: Yes.

Kazuhiko: Just those dolls?

Suu: Yes.

Kazuhiko: Were you there since you were born?

Suu: No.

Kazuhiko: Were you put in there by someone?

Suu: No.

I put myself in there.

Take me away
Not here, to elsewhere
Take me away

Magic that won’t be dispelled
A kiss that doesn’t end
A dream without waking
Happiness that won’t vanish
Take me away

Kazuhiko: Ran’s work doesn’t miss.

Was there value in interfering?

Who interfered?

With this girl

Those guys came to attack us from the start.

Those were Azlight beams.

I knew it. A military entanglement. Seriously, that grandmother of mine…

Azlight.

The country where the guy with whom I’m least compatible lives.

Boris: You haven’t changed.

You’re looking well.

[a trace]
But Kazuhiko.

This is a new work that we invented.

It can follow the noise after a modem is used.

I’m going now.

Your Highness.

[a debt]
Kazuhiko: Yo.

Suu: ….You’re not sleeping?

Kazuhiko: Because I’m in the middle of a mission.

You—my grandmother said that you’ve always been in the mansion.

I’ll do anything, but this is the first time I’ve transported a person.

Suu: What about that person?

The one who transported us here?

Kazuhiko: Ran?

He’s lived together with Gingetsu for two years now.

Suu: …..Lucky.

Kid: I understand your background.

Kazuhiko: That was fast.

Kid: Since Ryuu Kazuhiko is a celebrity of Junk-Local. [T/N: written “corners of the underworld”]

Kazuhiko: Guests?

Kid: They’re aiming for you.

We’ll take care of the guests here.

Please go home through the back door.

Kazuhiko: Why aren’t you handing us over?

When my people captured you, why didn’t you use the weapon in your right hand?

Kazuhiko: I didn’t feel like killing them.

It was just their job to capture people who came into their territory.

I don’t kill needlessly.

Kid: Just as rumor says.

The debt is paid.

Cat: Meow.

Suu: Meow.

Kid: We’ll end it at goodbye.

Tao Hua,

Guide them.

[a flower]
Tao Hua: To continue the date.

Kazuhiko: Let’s go.

...elsewhere…

Take me away
Not here
To elsewhere
Take me away

The birds sing
A song I don’t know the words to
Even if I had wings
The sky I can’t reach

A place I can’t be alone

So
Take me away
Not here, to elsewhere

I want to be your happiness.

I want to be happy with you.

Shogun: The Azlight military has begun to move.

[parliament]
No matter how much the information was hidden, it’s important enough to have leaked.

Will she be all right with that man?

Certainly he was superior as a soldier, but there were many problems.

Without your recommendation, of a certainty he’d be off to the nest.

Ryuu F. Kazuhiko.

The former vice captain of the secret corps.

Now it seems he’s doing detective type industry work, with the poof [T/N: written “mint”].

Was he Lieutenant Colonel Gingetsu’s aide?

Why was the colonel not given this mission?

Kou: The only one who can take that girl away

Is that man.

Ran: Kazuhiko.

Kazuhiko.

[clover]
Ran: “The four-leaf clover.”

Was that really her?

[a telephone]
Suu: Who are you calling?

Kazuhiko: Ran.

Even if I re-transmit I can’t get the communication.

What’s going on?

We should hurry.

Suu: Yeah.

Kazuhiko: No choice but to go honestly [TN: pun on “earthly roads”].

[winged fish that flies through the night]
Is this your first time riding one of these?

Suu: Yes.

I want to be happy.

I want to be happy.

I want to be happy with you.

Kazuhiko: You like this song, don’t you.

Suu: Like?

Kazuhiko: You don’t?

Suu: I don’t know.

Take me away
Not here, to elsewhere
Take me away

The birds sing a song I don’t know the words to
Even if I had wings, the sky I can’t reach
A place I can’t be alone

So
Take me away
Not here, to elsewhere

Kazuhiko: Your eyes are evergreen.

I want to be happy with you.

I want to be your happiness.

Suu: Do you not want to hear?

Kazuhiko: What?

Suu: Things.

Kazuhiko: Do you want me to hear?

Suu: Now…

Not yet.

Take me away

Suu: Can I hear about you?

Kazuhiko: What will you do if you hear?

Suu: I want to know.

Kazuhiko: There’s a condition.

Stop calling me “you.”

I feel as if I’m back in the military.

Suu: What should I call you?

Kazuhiko: Whatever you like.

I want to

Suu: Then,

be happy

Kazuhiko.

[a leopard]
Boris: Long time no see, Your Highness.

Kazuhiko: I told you to stop calling me that,

Boris.

Boris: “Your Highness.”

Isn’t it a name that fits you, so cheerful and cute, perfectly?

You were helped by the Shao Mao. The rest of the corps will still be stopped over there, eh?

I knew you would get off here.

I searched almost all of the vessels, but…

Well, since the prince and the princess stand out, it was unexpectedly easy.

Boris: If you, from the special secret intelligence division, came out for this, it must be important.

Kazuhiko: It has nothing to do with me, who withdrew from military service, doesn’t it?

Boris: We want that young lady.

Personally, I want to play with the prince again.

It’s a splendid errand.

Kazuhiko: I received this girl for safekeeping.

Boris: From the wizards, right?

The elders of the highest parliament are called wizards, rather prettily, so I’ve heard.

This country’s underside is controlled completely by those oldsters.

Kazuhiko: If it’s one on one, I’ll accept.

Boris: Here?

Kazuhiko: Idiot, I’ve decided on a back alley.

Boris: It doesn’t matter to me.

Kazuhiko: It matters to me.

I don’t want to involve ordinary people.

Boris: You really haven’t changed.

Your Highness.

[a back alley]
Kazuhiko: If I signal, turn east and run.

Suu: Yeah.

Kazuhiko: No matter what happens to me, run, run away.

Boris: I’m happy I can play with you again, Kazuhiko.

There’s no one who will play with Boris, the white leopard.

Kazuhiko: You’re hated.

Boris: Your right hand.

It’s decorating my bedroom.

Every day in my bed I treat it with affection.

You don’t feel it?

You really are cute.

Your Highness.

Kazuhiko: I knew you were that kind of guy.

Boris: I said I’d fight you one on one.

I didn’t make any promises about the young lady’s opponents.

Kazuhiko: GO!

RUN!

Gingetsu.

[the scar]
Kazuhiko: …Hey.

Why was I sleeping?

Gingetsu: It was Boris’s sword’s shock shot.

Kazuhiko: That perverted bastard.

What about Boris?

Gingetsu: He withdrew.

Kazuhiko: You really knew where we were.

Gingetsu: Ran found you.

Kazuhiko: I really hate the taste of this stuff to stop the pain.

Gingetsu: Then don’t drink it.

Kazuhiko: Why didn’t you run?

Suu: I didn’t want to go.

Kazuhiko: You know—

Suu: I don’t understand it myself.

But

I didn’t want to part from you.

Kazuhiko: Say that line to the person you’re in love with.

Suu: Are they words I shouldn’t say?

Kazuhiko: It’s not that—

Suu: Does it hurt?

Kazuhiko: No.

It’s because I drank bitter medicine.

Suu: There’s a scar remaining.

Kazuhiko: That’s an old wound.

Suu: What about in here?

Kazuhiko: Who knows.

I’m changing clothes.

Kazuhiko: You want to watch?

Suu: Should I not watch?

Kazuhiko: I’m a bashful person.

Are you on duty?

Gingetsu: Why do you think that?

Kazuhiko: When work is busy, you hardly don’t even stay over at that house at all;

You don’t have so much free time as to follow my traces.

The lines I said when I was your aide are still valid.

Gingetsu.

Gingetsu: Boris has public transport pinned down.

[a song]
radio: An explosion accident has occurred in Laoshafon District.

Presently traffic is stopped…

Kazuhiko: The Shao Mao, eh?

I want to be happy
I want to be happy.

So
Take me away
Far away,
Take me away

I want to be happy
I want to be happy.

Take me away
Not here,
To elsewhere

Take me away

Wet feathers,
Locked fingers,
Melting flesh,
Fusing hearts

Take me away

I want to be happy.

Kazuhiko: I’m not happy, am I?

Suu: Why not?

Kazuhiko: Because the woman who loved this song

Wasn’t happy.

Suu: Who?

Kazuhiko: The singer.

I want to be happy with you.

I want to be your happiness.

Suu: Your girlfriend?

Kazuhiko: Someone like that.

Suu: Even now?

I want to be happy.

Kazuhiko: No.

She’s dead.

Suu: That woman—tell me her name.

You know I like her songs.

Kazuhiko: …Oruha.

Oruha didn’t make a major debut.

You wouldn’t know…

Rather than your past,
I want your present

Suu: I know.

Kazuhiko: Even though you were always in that building?

Reel in the tomorrow
That seems broken

Take me away

Suu: I’m not happy now,

Because no one will take me away.

Kazuhiko: If someone takes you will away, will you be happy?

Suu: I don’t know, but

I want to be happy.

If it were so, that would be great.

Gingetsu: The two of them are approaching their destination in the arranged car.

[an existence that should not be]
Kou: It’s not just Azlight that wants that girl.

Please follow them as you are.

Gingetsu: Ryuu has noticed.

Kou: That you’re on a mission, Lieutenant Colonel?

Even if you hadn’t been a mission, you would have done the same thing, wouldn’t you?

You’re a man with the luck of the devil, but just this once the end is not guaranteed.

Because they’re carrying a state secret.

Suu has one more leaf than the young man you’re sheltering.

She is the four-leaf clover who should not exist in this world.

Suu: What are you doing?

Kazuhiko: Welcoming preparations for any rude people who might burst in suddenly.

[goodnight]
Suu: It’s a clean bed.

Kazuhiko: There’s a high possibility that our peaceful rest will be attacked.

It’s still best if the security in a high-class hotel holds.

His clamor will be more pardonable in a visible place.

Suu: Do you always sleep like this?

Kazuhiko: No.

It’s because this time the requested object is a very popular person.

Suu: It’s not because they love me that everyone wants me.

Is that man your friend?

Kazuhiko: Who?

Suu: The sunglasses man.

The one who saved us earlier.

Kazuhiko: I wonder if he’s a friend or not.

We’ve had a fatal bond  since I entered the military.

Suu: That man—

In here…

Kazuhiko: What about inside Gingetsu’s head?

Suu: In here…

Kazuhiko: Is it broken?

Suu: You don’t know?

Kazuhiko: Know what?

Suu: If you don’t know, it’s fine.

Kazuhiko: I don’t know what will happen before we reach our destination, so you should sleep while you can.

Suu: You won’t sleep?

Kazuhiko: Since a guest might come.

Suu: You’re always, always awake?

Kazuhiko: While I’m on a mission, I’m using a drug.

Not sleeping isn’t a concern.

Suu: I’m awake.

I’m watching whether someone comes.

So sleep.

Kazuhiko: Hey, hey.

You’re determined.

Do you like sleeping that much?

Suu: If I sleep, I forget.

That I’m alone.

Kazuhiko: I understand.

If you don’t want to sleep, let me replace it with being awake.

Suu: Were you sad when Oruha died?

Kazuhiko: Yeah.

Suu: Did you cry?

Kazuhiko: …Who knows.

Suu: If I died, no one would cry for me.

Kazuhiko: Why not?

Suu: Because I’m alone.

She had a kind voice. Oruha.

Wet feathers,
Locked fingers,
Melting flesh,
Fusing hearts

Kazuhiko: She often sang this song live.

Take me away
I want to be
Happy.

I want to be happy.

Suu: …Kazuhiko.

Kazuhiko: Goodnight.

We won’t get there before this runs out.

To Fairy Park.

Alone?

[pursuit]
Solider: The lieutenant colonel has moved out.

Boris: With Kazuhiko as a lure, I thought that they’d really use another transporter…

If Gingetsu of the secret corps has moved out…

Is this one the likely winner?

Sheesh, he cut me with his sword.

That’s why I hate him.  He’s not cute.

At that point Kazuhiko being cute was great.

Inadvertently bullying Kazuhiko was too cute.

His Highness is waiting for us.

Let’s go.

[feathers]
Kazuhiko: These guys aren’t from Azlight.

Isn’t it inappropriate to make a ruckus at a hotel for important government persons’ use?

Are you lot my former colleagues?

I see.

Among those related to this country’s military, even if they make a ruckus here, you’ll extinguish them?

Suu: Kazuhiko.

[white out]
Boris: Aren’t we tracking them?

They burned off completely.

Is this that princess’s power?

Gingetsu: Ran.

Ran.

[the same but not the same]
Ran: I hear you.

Gingetsu: It seems that the search applied to Ryuu’s modem has broken.

Ran: It’s not just Azlight following them.

Gingetsu: I know.

Exporting her was Parliament’s decision.

However

There is a also a wizard who wants to monopolize her.

Can you find them?

Ran: I can find them.

Because she’s the same “clover” as me.

No.

Not the same.

Because I was the trefoil.

I was able to go outside.

But the four-leaf clover was certainly, completely alone.

Gingetsu: You knew that she was the four-leaf clover.

Since when Kazuhiko came to take her away.

Ran: I don’t want to let them die.

Gingetsu: …Me neither.

[night]
Suu: No one else is following.

Kazuhiko: You called feathers without a modem?

Suu: It’s because I’m a clover.

Kazuhiko: “Clover?”

Suu: The four-leaf clover.

I want to be happy.

I want to be happy.

I want to be happy with you.

Kazuhiko: Now that you mention it, this song’s name was “Clover” too.

I want to be your happiness.

Kazuhiko: It’s completely broken.

Well, whatever. It’s a product of this country’s military, it won’t work against an opponent from this country’s military.

Suu: As I thought, you won’t listen.

Kazuhiko: To what?

Suu: What “clover” is.

Kazuhiko: Because right now you still don’t want me to hear.

Suu: I’m sorry.

Kazuhiko: What for?

Suu: I let you get injured.

Kazuhiko: While on the job.

Suu: Kazuhiko, you might come to worse harm,

If you’re with me.

I knew I couldn’t go outside.

What are you doing?

Kazuhiko: I’m borrowing.

The car Gingetsu gave us is in the hotel parking lot.

It’s a slight to him, but I’ll search for another vehicle.

Suu: Will you take me away?

Kazuhiko: I keep my promises.

Take me away
Not here,
To elsewhere

Take me away

A bird in a gilded cage
A bird that can’t fly
A bird that can’t cry
A bird all alone

So take me away

I want to be happy.

Suu: Listen.

About me.

[about me]
Suu: “Clover.”

It’s children who can use magic.

Kazuhiko: Sorcerers?

Suu: No.

It’s magic-using.

Do you know the Clover Leaf project?

Kazuhiko: No.

Suu: For children who could use magic—

The government looked for them throughout the country with a test.

Ten years ago.

And so, children with especially strong magical power were raised called “trefoil clover” or “four-leaf clover.”

Kazuhiko: The military was involved in that.

How many were there?

Suu: There were three “trefoil” at the beginning. One died.

Now there are two.

Kazuhiko: And “four-leaf clover?”

Suu: Just me.

That’s why I have to be alone.

Kazuhiko: There were sorcerers in the military too.

Suu: They weren’t magic-users.

Kazuhiko: To me, it looks like sorcerers use magic too.

Because my grandmother Kou is a wizard.

A special class of sorcerer.

In this country, someone who can defeat a wizard…

Suu: The power of the trefoil could defeat at least five wizards as opponents.

Kazuhiko: ….And the four-leaf?

Suu: ………..

That’s why

I

Am alone.

[memory]
Suu: I want to be happy.

Kou: That was her final wish from the beginning.

I want to grant it.

[the vehicle]
Kazuhiko: You’re really persistent!

Boris: If I fall in love, it’s wholeheartedly!

Kazuhiko: Ch.

Take me away
Not here,
To elsewhere

The leaf.

Take me away

The four-leaf clover.

A bird in a gilded cage
A bird that can’t fly
A bird that can’t cry
A bird all alone

So
Take me away

I want to be happy.

[the destination]
Kazuhiko: What happened?

Suu: Ran transported us.

Kazuhiko: Where is this place?

Suu: It’s Fairy Park.

[fairy park]
Suu: I came.

Oruha.

I want to be happy with you.

I want to be your happiness.

Just to be with you,
I’m happy

If you only smile,
I’m happy

So take me away

Not here
To elsewhere

Take me away

I want to be happy

Kazuhiko: Why do you call that statue Oruha?

Suu: It doesn’t look like her?

Kazuhiko: It doesn’t look like her.

Suu: The Oruha inside me felt like this.

Like a fairy, kind, beautiful Oruha.

Just to be with you,
I’m happy

If you only smile,
I’m happy

Suu: This song.

So take me away
Not here
To elsewhere

It’s the song Oruha and I made.

Kazuhiko: …What do you mean?

Suu: I talked with Oruha.

Kazuhiko: I’m sorry, but that can’t be true.

Suu: I heard her voice from far away.

The voice of beautiful, kind Oruha singing in the livehouse.

Kazuhiko: The audio sound through the livehouse mike?

Suu: Even without a media wave, if I ride a radio wave, I can understand everything. No matter where, no matter what.

Kazuhiko: Is that the power of the four-leaf?

Suu: So, I called Oruha on the phone.

Because I really loved Oruha’s voice.

Since Grandma scolded me about the TV phone, it was just audio.

At first, Oruha thought it was a prank call, but she talked with me properly.

After that I called her countless times.

We became friends.

My first friend.

Oruha taught me lots of things.

Things about the outside.

Things about songs.

Things about her boyfriend.

When she talked about you, Kazuhiko, Oruha seemed happy.

But she seemed just a little sad.

Even though she really loved you.

“I will soon die,” she said.

Just to be with you,

I’m happy

If you only smile,

I’m happy

So take me away

We made this song together too.

“CLOVER.”

I want to be

Happy

Because it was Oruha’s dream to sing on a big stage,

I asked Grandma, and she published this song.

This fairy is how I imagined Oruha.

I never met her, but

Oruha gave me this feeling.

But Oruha died.

Even though, not as a fairy, I wanted Oruha to sing sometime.

I thought that I would stop letting the song flow, but

Grandma,

She said, “If people die, they will be forgotten, but a song will certainly be remembered, and sung.”

Because Oruha too said, “I don’t want to be forgotten,”

I substituted her into a fairy, so that she could sing.

That’s why that fairy is Oruha.

Kazuhiko: ….This voice.

Whose is it?

Suu: Mine and Oruha’s.

Our two voices are blended.

I really wanted only Oruha to sing.

Oruha said that she loved amusement parks.

She said she loved this Fairy Park best.

So I asked Grandma again, and she made this place.

Oruha’s image.

“Someday, let’s go there with Kazuhiko, the three of us,” she always said.

Just to be with you,
I’m happy

If you only smile,
I’m happy

So take me away
Not here
To elsewhere

I want to be
Happy

That’s why I wanted you to take me away, Kazuhiko.

Kazuhiko: …Oruha isn’t here anymore.

Suu: She is here.

In here.

Gingetsu: You transported them both without moving?

[trefoil]
Ran: …There’s no time.

Those guys following them noticed the transport.

Gingetsu: The place?

Ran: Fairy Park.

[mind]
Suu: I’ve been in there four times.

Kazuhiko: Your parents?

Suu: I don’t know about my father.

When my mother learned that I could use magic…At first she was afraid.

At the last, she was pleased that “my power would become money.”

My mother received money from the Clover Leaf Project people, she counted it to be certain.

…I said, “Goodbye,” but it looked like she didn’t hear me.

After that, it was all research and experiments.

But everyone was only interested in my magic.

I want to be happy

So I’ve always thought

I want to be happy

“I want to come here with people who would love me even if I couldn’t use magic.”

Just to be with you,
I’m happy

If you only smile,
I’m happy

Love.

I heard about you from Oruha.

I’ve always wanted to meet you.

Until I met you, Kazuhiko, I didn’t know it myself, but

So take me away

Not here
To elsewhere

Take me away

I want to be
Happy

I think this feeling is certainly the thing that’s called love.

[pegasus]
Kazuhiko: Azlight!?

Suu: No.

It’s a wizard.

I want to be happy
I want to be happy

I want to be your happiness

I want to be happy
With you

So take me away
Not here, to elsewhere

Oruha.

Take me away

Kazuhiko: Wait!

I want to be
Happy

Suu: KAZUHIKO—!!!:

[shadow play]
Boris: What the hell is that!?

[homicidal intent]
Suu: Kazuhiko!!

KAZUHIKO!!

I want to be happy
I want to be happy

I want to be your happiness
I want to be happy with you

So
Take me away
Not here,
To elsewhere

I knew it was better if I had stayed there…

My first thought

My last wish

This is where fairies wait

A promised land

Just for two

I’m sorry…

So
Take me away

To forget the day’s reality

So I can stay in this night’s dream

So I can think of you forever

Take me away

I want to be happy

Kazuhiko: …help…me…please…

…are…you…happy?

Suu: …Yes.

Boris: I’m sorry to intrude on the prince and princess’ fine scene.

Well.

This is a fine situation for Azlight too.

…Geez.

Gingetsu: …Really.

I’ll intrude on that fine situation.

Boris: Before this too, I thought I’d bring all of Kazuhiko, not just the right hand, home with me.

But you had to intrude.

Suu: Kazuhiko…he won’t die.

Gingetsu: Yeah.

Suu: Tell Ran “thank you.”

Boris: Is it all right? To let a state secret be here alone?

Gingetsu: ……

I want to be happy
I want to be happy

I want to be happy with you
I want to be your happiness

So take me away

Not here, to elsewhere

My first thought
My last wish

This is where fairies wait
In the land promised just for two

So
Take me away

To forget the day’s reality
So I can stay in this night’s dream

So I can think of you forever

Take me away

I want to be happy

Suu: I was happy.

Thank you, Kazuhiko.

[the last]
Boris: HEY! THE PRINCESS!!

[change]
Kou: What Parliament decided was only Fairy Park’s abandonment.

Why did you try to kill Kazuhiko?

Wizard: …If the four-leaf clover thought someone was special,

It would be the same as if the world were in the hand of the person she thought of.

That’s why the four-leaf clover was always alone.

Kou: Suu said that if we let her go there she would sacrifice her own life.

Wizard: That’s right. That’s why the supreme parliament sanctioned her transport.

You should know as well. The four-leaf’s power was too strong.

We are a special class of sorcerer, but we could not have handled her.

Kou: …At the beginning Suu said it was her last wish.

Wizard: How people’s hearts can change is something we don’t understand. Feelings of love can particularly complicate matters.

As when your violation of the council meeting’s decision, when she had an interchange with the singer from outside, was forgiven.

Kou: …A court-martial for me, too?

Wizard: No.

Kou: Why?

Wizard: I told you, didn’t I? It’s something people don’t understand, how feelings of love can complicate matters.

[and then]

[heart]
Gingetsu: The four-leaf clover could not become anyone’s possession.

Ran: …Even so, I think she wanted to go there. To Fairy Park.

Rather than live like that, all alone.

When that one small wish was granted, she became happy.

She wanted it to be taken away

From a world that had only her, to somewhere else.

Her heart.

[the leaf]
I want to be
Happy

I want to be
Happy

Take me away

Kazuhiko: …Certainly she only said “take me away.”

I didn’t hear anything about coming home…

I want to be happy.
