It's a magical world

I had to force myself through the first three volumes of Sandman, which was all my library had. I liked the story, but sometimes I find Gaiman to be hit-or-miss, and the early volumes were way more miss than hit, and though I know the later volumes get better I was not filled with enthusiasm.

It's kind of stupid of me to gripe about the manga-ization of American comics, but I don't think the manga-izing is taking the right aspects of manga, really.
