Good catch on the "children"--I was tempted to use a different word at a few points, but the same word is used in the Japanese, so I wanted to keep that subtlety in there. Also, I think part of it is that Yuuko is much older than all the Shaorans and Sakuras, so she refers to all of them as "children": CCS!Shaoran & Sakura, the travelers, and also Watanuki & Jr.
Also, as Anonymouse points out above, that fair-headed dude is possibly (probably likely, imo) Fujitaka.
ETA: I definitely am assuming that they tubed themselves post-rewind, though I don't really have any concrete basis for that assumption other than Watanuki's knowing that his parents died in an accident (at about the same age Jr. was when he went to Clow country and rewound time, not coincidentally). But those memories could be FWR's curse, so I don't know. But I'm not sure there would have been a reason for S&S to tube themselves until Jr. had made his choice, since everything depended on what he chose.
