more on my toothpaste

so I figured out the problem. storing it on its side in a box for at least half a year (No, longer...9 months?) is bad for it. All the color has separated out. What the hell am I putting in my mouth? Evil toxic chemical paste? Looks like it. I wouldn't really care except I'm not sure it's working. In fact I think it's not. I guess I need more toothpaste...and this crap is expensive...moral of the story: don't buy toothpaste 9 months in advance.
