Feb. 23rd, 2011 21:07As everyone has probably heard by now, there was a large, destructive earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand on Tuesday.
kehealey has some more information and links to the NZ Red Cross. I was glad to hear that
zeborah and her family are okay; Z has some photos on Flickr here.
For those of us who live in California, and especially here in the East Bay, it's a good time to think about putting together an earthquake kit and a go-bag. The Hayward fault is going to break, and in a big way; it's not a matter of if, but when.

Finally, to the people of Wisconsin and in Madison in particular: you're doing amazing work, not the least of which is inspiring the rest of us.
