Brief updates
Feb. 26th, 2011 15:29# The experts at the Apple store tell me it's a software rather than a hardware problem which was causing my laptop to shut down spontaneously. I suspect it may also have been the battery, or more specifically my continuing to use my bird-eaten power cord and not noticing that the battery wasn't charging. In any event, I ran the disk utility things they suggested, and haven't had any problems since. Though I should probably back up my hard drive as soon as I finish this post.
# I got new running shoes, and it is like running on springs! As usual I had to go a half-size up to get shoes that were wide enough for my feet, but these shoes are explicitly a running style, and they are a huge improvement over my old shoes. Yay!
# I finally caved and bought rain boots; they arrived yesterday, and are pretty damn awesome. Now it just needs to rain. But not next Saturday, since I'm running a 5K then.
# I also finally took my bike to get looked at; the brake cables were getting stretched. All adjustments have been made, and since I bought the bike at this same location less than a year ago, the maintenance was free.
# I'm so busy, holy crap. Back to the grind.
