Well, technically nothing at the moment, since I finished a book last night.
What I've just read
I finished Hiromi Goto's Chorus of Mushrooms last night, and I really enjoyed it, though on a weird inside baseball note I found the transcription system used for the Japanese really odd--I am used to the particles being separate from other words so you can, you know, figure out what is a particle and what is a noun/verb/adjective. I could still figure it out, but it took a little more work than I'm used to. I also, as you might be able to infer, finished Akata Witch. Not my favorite of Okorafor's books--I think I like The Shadow Speaker and Who Fears Death best so far, but it's still a very worthwhile read.
What I'll read next
That said, in the spirit of "read books and then get rid of them," I'm going to knock out Michelle Sagara's Cast in Ruin next. I have Cast in Peril in e-book, and hopefully after this I can stop reading the series in paper. (Urgh. E-books are great, but.) I should probably also try to read some more of the books people have leant me. I also have some aca books people have leant me that I need to get through.
I reorganized my bookshelves yesterday to better reflect the categories of what I need to do for my qualifying exams, which has only leant greater urgency to the problem of getting through my stacks of TBR fiction to free up that shelf space. I should probably reorganize the shelves again; there's more I could do, and I also have stacks of paper journals that I could get rid of. So it goes.
