I imagine everyone is at least basically familiar with the #refugeecrisis at this point.
rydra_wong has been collecting links of ways that people (some worldwide, some UK-only) can help, and I wanted to mention another fairly low-effort thing that people can do that you might not be aware of: donating frequent flyer miles.
Each airline program has varying rules on how many miles you can donate (usually there's a minimum amount), so the best thing to do is google "$ProgramName donate miles" and follow the instructions on the relevant page. Some airlines have already highlighted charities specifically arranging for refugees to use said frequent flyer miles; Airlink is also a reliable option that arranges for organizations like MSF to use miles for their programs that you can donate to from just about every program.
Particularly given how quickly miles expire on some programs (and how high the minimum redemption limits are), this can be a good way to put miles that would otherwise expire to good use.
