Rejoice! WE WON

I woke up to the news this morning and I woke up the bird making a racket. I saw a celebration along my normal running route on Twitter and headed down there to join in and when I stepped outside into the sun I just couldn't stop smiling. I was grinning for hours. We did it. And now everyone knows why Return of the Jedi is my favorite Star Wars movie.

There's a lot of work to be done, starting with Georgia, and there's far, far too many people who aren't here to see this day. But we did a wildly difficult thing and we saved democracy in our time and that's worth celebrating, even if it didn't mean many, many other good things that will impact people's lives for the better and give the planet and the future a fighting chance. LFG.
