I don't know what to say, but, oh. This is one of the best fics I've read set during this period, I think, you just, Watson's grief, so *well*. And Irene! Oh, Irene - there is so much beneath the surface there.
(I spent half the fic convinced that Irene's mysterious employer this time is Holmes himself, but I think it is much better to leave me wondering.)
