One thing the film really managed to change for me was my concept of Irene Adler. I'd never completely understood her before, not really liked her, just felt that she somewhat destroyed the Holmes-Watson dynamics (and this was even before I really got into slash - what a little sad chauvinist I was). I really LIKED Adler in the film though, and the relationship dynamics fell into place in my head.
And after that lengthy digression, I just wanted to say that Irene Adler in this fic was totally awesome, and what a way to shake Watson from his dump a bit. I loved it, and your hints about a sequel in some comments warm my grabby reader's heart. Also, the shirt porn was excellent!
