Yeah, I was thinking about which gender is lower on the privilege ladder, and I think it's really snakes-and-ladders: Mymy mentions that males and females tend to underestimate surmales because they physically look less mature, but at the same time I have the sense that surmales have a bit more social freedom all the same, at least for some things. So I think that it depends on what you're looking for.
