lnhammer: the Chinese character for poetry, red on white background (Default)

Also helps: unpacking classical Japanese verbs. When you're dithering over whether that passive inflection buried in the pileup expresses an honorific or spontaneous action, or whether that kimu is "shall come" or "shall wear," as separate commentaries claim,* you don't have time to jitter over assignments.

Distraction: it's what's for cleaning the house before the parentals visit.

* "Wear," as it turns out -- "shall come" would be komu. Curse you, occasionally inaccurate grammatical analysis!
