Considering Sakura's talk of how everyone's aligned with "yin" or "yang," it's possible that both Hana and Chikahito are aligned with "wuji (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wuji_%28philosophy%29)" -- nothingness. It would probably tie in to the whole "soulmates" thing CLAMP loves so much.
