Kaleidoscope Fanwork Exchange (AO3 collection)

Kaleidoscope is a multimedia fanwork exchange hosted by [community profile] dark_agenda for rare chromatic source fandoms. It is open to all sources with chromatic characters or people and by chromatic creators, from animations to books & literature to folklore & mythology to movies to music to real people to sequential art to theater to TV shows to video games and including anime/manga/manhua/manhwa, Bollywood, C-Pop/K-Pop/J-Pop, fantaserye/telefantasya, komiks, lakorns, Nollywood, telenovela, tokusatsu and wuxia to name a few commonly known and region-specific genre terms. We welcome artworks, graphics, stories, vids and potentially other types of fanworks in English, in non-English languages or in both, particularly in English dialects and non-English languages associated with chromatic cultures.

The exchange currently needs more people to make matching feasible. Please consider signing up!

I am weighing between signing up and just volunteering to pinch hit; I am a little afraid my requests would make matching more difficult, not less.

I was worried about this too, so I checked the current sign-ups list:

http://darkagenda.org/kaleidoscope/currentsignups

I got lucky, and everything that I wanted had at least one (or more!) offers already. In some cases, there were multiple offers but no requests. So, if you haven't checked already, you might actually find that your requests help out. :)

Unfortunately, the three things I want are currently 0, 0, and 2 for offers. Then again, the four things I wanted for Yuletide last year were 0, 0, 1, and 2 for offers, and that didn't stop me from signing up there, so maybe I should just take the plunge :-).

I vote for taking the plunge! :D

Who knows, maybe seeing that there's a request will inspire more people to offer. :)

I'm really looking forward to it! Should be a really good NaNo warmup for me.

Please sign up anyway; our main problem is not that we are having trouble getting people assigned a potential writer/artist/vidder, but that we are having trouble getting people assigned a recipient who have requested fandoms they've offered.

Okay, okay. Duly signed up, and I hope it helps more than it hurts!
