My favorite tycoon personal museum is the Freer, part of the Smithsonian, which is east-Asian art plus James Whistler. (It's paired with the Sackler gallery, which is also Asian, but without the restrictions on what the Smithsonian can do to the collection.) But I admit I still haven't been to Frick.
