Yup, I do have an RSI, but as my NP's trying to reproduce the conditions that led to the injury showed, it's some form of tennis elbow rather than actually in my wrist. I continue to believe my shoulder is implicated somehow, but most likely as a consequence rather than a cause. So my elbow and my whole right arm are sort of low-grade not right, and I have an appointment with the RSI clinic the first week in May, and in the meantime, limiting computer/writing (hah), and taking anti-inflammatories like candy. Embodiment: it's not for wimps!
Re: the ears, my NP agreed it's not a nickel allergy, but I'm still convinced it's…something. I think the first step is to disinfect the clasps of the earrings in question in a peroxide/water solution, since they started this whole thing in the first place.
I had my "well woman" (argh) visit today, and I actually got teary recounting my medical history (read: my mother's death from cancer), which I'm certain is what prompted my practitioner to mention the university counseling services. As I said, it's more that it'll be three years on Saturday. Blech. The visit was mostly okay though - she's a pretty sharp cookie, though I could have done without the gentle urging to think about getting a boyfriend. I'll probably try to go see her again next year.
Why am I so tired.

Third cry of 'What the fuck!'

Date: 2012-04-18 05:40 (UTC)... if that person has any tips on how to acquire a boyfriend, I'm all ears. I've got the "thinking about it" part down, the rest is where the problem's at. You can't just get one in a shop, a shelter or at a breeder's.

Date: 2012-04-19 03:16 (UTC)I can't believe a doctor would advise or even imply that. Maybe if they were actually a therapist and that's the kind of advice you were soliciting on, but at a well woman check up do not tell someone they need a man. Ick.

Date: 2012-04-19 03:52 (UTC)Thanks! My arm hurts, but it's not that bad - not as bad as it was last Friday, anyway.
