This was a gift formaat_seshat, who probably knows more of the relevant sources than I do, and given that I don't have anywhere as firm a grasp on aristocratic Sengoku material culture as I do on that of earlier or later periods, I was forced to shift into the epistolary mode, as well as do some reading in Japanese.
