Did you catch that AKB48 did the Sugar Rush theme song? Not that I'm a fan of AKB48, but... the whole movie just shows such a genuine love of old video games and commitment to getting things right, and having a megapopular idol group do the theme song felt JUST RIGHT in that context.
I saw it the weekend after Sandy, and it was definitely a good cheering-up thing to do!
