All I remember about F&H is that I didn't understand the ending! But that was years ago. I shall have to reread, and then read rushthatspeaks' essays.
Also, count me as someone who bounced off the Melusine books but adored Goblin Emperor. It has become comfort reading I will return to over and over again, I suspect.
