Yuuko: The last things related to her absconded husband, and even the things related to your mother—
Even if the rumors are erased, the past will not disappear. The same goes for the things that happened between your parents.
But from there, you can make a beginning. You’ve decided, haven’t you? Earlier you said “I’ll wait to be happy.”
Kohane: …Yes.
Yuuko: Everything is blended and mixed up together. We live mutually influencing each other.
Even from a mere chance meeting, body and heart will change.
You who have experienced such harsh memories surely understand what happiness is.
You can certainly teach that to your mother, if you believe that.
Besides, if something happens, my part-timer will certainly come rushing over.
Kohane: …But, even though I’ve caused Kimihiro-kun so much trouble…
Yuuko: If he hadn’t met you, Kohane-chan, Watanuki would spend his days crying in sorrow.
Mokona (dancing like a top on Kohane’s hand): Lamentation! He’d be so miserable!
Yuuko: Besides, I told you, didn’t I? People change from their involvements.
You and Watanuki met and changed. There are no one-sided relationships.
If you think you’re being supported by Watanuki, you are supporting Watanuki as well.
Kohane: Thank you… I… Though I’ve sat here for such a short time, I’ve already said “thank you” four times. Even though I never said those words for so long…

Beneath the umbrella of the sakura that dance as they fall, Yuuko gives her a kind smile.
The fifth time saying “thank you” is the sign of the ceremony. Four pages later, the true shape of Kohane’s power is…
Kohane’s power brought forth one of Sakura's feathers!? Kohane, Watanuki, and Sakura. Where is the fate of these shaken three?
I didn't bother to translate the comments, because they're unrelated, except that he or she believes this is the end of the volume.
Also, if anyone has a better suggestion for ［激震する」than "shaken," どうぞ。
So Kohane-chan had a feather. Um, holy crap. I was thinking that Clamp wouldn't allow any more connections between the HOLiC and TRC worlds than those we've already seen (since the HOLiC world is the world of so many other Clamp series). Seems I was wrong. But what is Yuuko going to do with the feather? Can it even be sent along? Or is she going to hoard it?
Well, maybe this explains how it's possible that Watanuki and Kohane's hearts are closer than anyone, but at the same time Watanuki is the closest person to Shaoran? Oh, wait, or maybe not.

Date: 2008-04-19 04:39 (UTC)If Kohane had a feather and Kohane and Watanuki are close then logically that would still link Shaoran to Watanuki because of Shaoran's desire to care for Sakura. >.> This feather might lead to them all coming together..oh dear....

Date: 2008-04-19 04:53 (UTC)Yeah, now that I think about it it makes some sort of sense, somewhat. I mean, the feather is one of Sakura's memories, right? More or less a fragment of her "heart"? And Watanuki is connected to Sakura somehow already, so therefore his closeness with Kohane links back to that. It's all hitsuzen. OF COURSE.

Date: 2008-04-19 05:51 (UTC)I just realized that if Kohane didn't give up her powers then C!Syaoran would've killed her to get the feather! O_O But Yuuko can't give the feather to the TRC gang unless they wished for it. Watanuki could wish for Yuuko to give it to those guys though. But if Yuuko keeps it, and with the barrier around the shop weakening, she'll just draw C!Syaoran to her. I smell foreboding.
Okay since CLAMP hid a clue in Kohane's name indicating she had a feather, what about Watanuki. We already know Watanuki means April 1st, the day he was born and Kimihiro means prophet.
If we take what we knew from the recent TRC chapter, R!Syaoran was already Sakura's, the 'real' one, childhood friend. He was kidnapped when she was around 7 years old, and on her birthday at that. I have this crazy theory that whatever happend during that time, it was when Watanuki was born. Or Watanuki might actually be Sakura. @_@

Date: 2008-04-19 08:22 (UTC)Personally I get the feeling that Watanuki is around the same age as Shaoran and Sakura (16 or 17 by now), so I disagree that W was born when Shaoran was kidnapped, but I certainly agree that something important when down in the ruins then, and I wouldn't be surprised if Watanuki was involved somehow since he and Shaoran are so closely connected. Perhaps that's when Watanuki made the wish that had the price of forgetting?
I think you may be right that the clone will be drawn to Yuuko's shop, assuming he's still following his nature and collecting feathers, if she doesn't give away the feather somehow. For some reason, I'm wondering again what Yuuko's wish is, and whether this feather from Kohane-chan is connected to it.
No, it doesn't snow in May...unless you count the falling sakura in Hokkaidou.
