Kobato Drop 13 translation
Mar. 14th, 2009 00:30Thanks to
kotae,
cutesherry, and
ladydarkmoon.
ETA: Now corrected, with pointers from
lovelessinma--thanks!

Bird: Huh?
FX: Flap flap
"Two seasons"?
Was that the message earlier from Ushagi-san?
Ioryogi: .....
FX: Plop
Bird: Augh! Rain!!
We'll be in for it if we don't get there quick--!
FX: Plop
Ioryogi: Hurry up and fly then.
If you drop me en route this time I'll make a whole roast.
Bird: Only that unreasonable--!!
Jeez! You're too selfish!
----------------------------------
[02-03]
Rapid development!!
The destination of Kobato's feelings is...
----------------------------------
[04]
FX: Humming
Genko: Yeah, I really am good
At baking baumkuchen.
Is this what they call a suitable occupation?
Tasty, tasty baumkuchen~
The bear in the woods is baking~
No, surely it's a calling.
I thought I told you you're in the way, but
Hurry up and come in.
----------------------------------
[05]
FX: Chugga
FX: Snap
Genko: Sheesh,
Why the hell from the window?
Ginsei: The place to enter wasn't specified, was it?
Genko: Even if there's not, if there's a proper door, you enter from the door, don't you!
Geez, since that dumbass didn't teach common sense,
We became these sort of troublesome mysterious creatures!
FX: Drip drip drip
Genko: I said to take responsibility!
FX: Sudden
FX: Unconcerned
Genko: A real plushie!
----------------------------------
[06]
FX: Rustle
Genko: There's no trick.
It's just a towel.
Hurry up and dry yourself.
The padding's getting wet, isn't it.
That mean that just like always,
You won't accept anything from anyone but him?
----------------------------------
[07]
Ginsei: .......
FX: Slow...
----------------------------------
[08]
Genko: You have no connection to the strife he caused, [T/N: "Strife" could also be "rebellion."]
So why did you come here in that form?
Ginsei: ...Because
He's here.
Genko: He's not.
The cord of his store of patience was cut by frequent violence, and by the divinity you'd expect.
----------------------------------
[09]
Ginsei: In the past you've said that he said that expression is old.
Genko: I'm the one who's older than you lot!
Me!
Though I'm older, your attitude is too impertinent!
It's that sort of thing exactly!
You and Iorogi.
Ginsei: That was Ioryogi now, huh.
----------------------------------
[10]
Genko: Well, you're the one who reared Iorogi.
Since he attached his name to you.
Because your eyes are silver, you're a silver animal,
Ginsei.
That's because, no matter how often I said "Like that, huh," I stopped him.
Not just once.
He didn't have to listen, but--
Afterward it turned into a fistfight.
----------------------------------
[11]
Genko: He was found,
And given a name.
That's why I don't understand why you were refused by him.
But now Iorogi is
Nowhere but the human world.
Ginsei: Until he grants
That maiden's wish.
Bear: That is the contract between him and God.
----------------------------------
[12]
Bird: Please listen--! Genko-sama--!!
FX: Slam
Bird: Sheesh--!
That person, even if he's become a stuffed animal, his selfishness hasn't changed at all!
He made me carry him in this rain! To his house!
Bird: Oh! Right!
Today the messenger Ushagi-san came!
It seems that there was a message from heaven for that person.
Bear: Hmm...
----------------------------------
[13]
Ginsei: The contents?!
Bird: Jeez, Iorogi-sama and this hooligan!
FX: SHRIEEEK
Genko: Sigh--
Your voice is coming out, the real sound.
Ginsei: What did God say!!
Bird: Shriek--!
----------------------------------
[14]
FX: Tap
FX: Gasp
Kobato: Ioryogi-san!
Ioryogi: Yeah. I finally could make it home.
Kobato: I searched for you,
But you weren't there.
Ioryogi: Since rain was falling, I hurried.
Kobato: Huh? Rain...
...So it was.
Ginsei and Genko are differentiating between Ioryogi's name written in kana (when it's written "Ioryogi") and written in kanji, when it's pronounced "Iorogi" and means "many gods." I'll be the first to admit I don't understand the relationship between "many gods" and the silver in Ginsei's name, but there it is, and I'll be sure to follow the kanji/kana distinction in Ioryogi's name from now on.
Thanks to
lovelessinma again for pointing this out.
