genarti. Basically, this (meta)fic is a distillation of my conviction that Garth Nix was influenced in his Old Kingdom books by Lud-in-the-Mist. And if he wasn't, he should have been. So there are hints in the story of Neil Gaiman's Stardust, Hope Mirrlees' Lud-in-the-Mist, and Susanna Clarke's Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. Maybe if I write a sequel these hints will become explicit.
