Joy is my middle name. I couldn't pass up a chance to contribute in even a minor way to More Joy Day, especially since I had a fic so close to completion.

Title: Gravedust
Words: 2689
Rating: General
Fandom: Garth Nix' Old Kingdom books.
Summary: The Librarian of Wyverly College, and her life alongside and across the Wall.
Notes: A New Year's Resolution for [livejournal.com profile] genarti. Basically, this (meta)fic is a distillation of my conviction that Garth Nix was influenced in his Old Kingdom books by Lud-in-the-Mist. And if he wasn't, he should have been. So there are hints in the story of Neil Gaiman's Stardust, Hope Mirrlees' Lud-in-the-Mist, and Susanna Clarke's Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. Maybe if I write a sequel these hints will become explicit.

The link above goes to the story at the AO3.

And now I am going to go watch Festivids, because those fandoms are shiny.

Hiya! Unrelated to your post (and a little late), but I saw CLAMP's kudos on your 20th Anniversary fanbook on the Anime News Network the other day. Congrats! I downloaded the PDF, and it's an amazing achievment. Just wanted to say, you should be proud. ^^

Wow, we made ANN? I haven't been by there in a while.

Heh. Well, I did less of the work than many other people, but I am proud to have been a part of the group. Fans in action!
