starlady: Korra looks out over Republic City (legend of korra)

I have been promised a titanic, King Lear-style thunderstorm for later today. Meanwhile the internet tells me Cast in Chaos is available at Barnes & Noble, and I am making President Obama's favorite tacos and also probably Aztec gold brownies, and the ATLA sequel is confirmed, and White Collar and Covert Affairs were pretty awesome last night, so yay!

My bird is still acting freaked, though. I'll know I'm forgiven for getting his nails trimmed, omg, when he comes out of his house of his own volition.

ETA: Also I bought organic creamery milk in a glass bottle, omg it's good.

ETA 2: And I have now obtained Cast in Chaos, and since it's 98ยบ at least outside I bought myself a chocolate cartwheel from the ice cream truck which was passing through my neighborhood. Still just as delicious as when I was eight. And my bird made eye contact with me! There's hope yet.

I was inexplicably irked by Auggie pulling out an ancient codebreaking machine and suggesting that somehow it was better to crack the code 'analog' rather than using a computer simulator of said machine. Goddamnit, if something belongs in a museum, put it in a museum, don't risk breaking it on a whim just because you can!

Except that I know that if I had that choice, I totally would have pulled out the badass looking mechanical codebreaking machine.

Yeah, I'm enjoying how much gratuitous car stuff is in this show a lot. Then again, I endured the Knight Rider remake for the cars, so...

But it's possible the car stuff is there because it's a place where women and men can be equally badass, since the show seems insistent on 'realism' in terms of Annie not being able to beat up bigger, stronger, better trained men. Let me tell you, if Annie needs to keep being saved any time she gets into a fight, I'm going to get sick of this show fast.

Oh, then I recommend you watch the Knight Rider reboot pilot. It's a two hour Ford commercial and it's sooooo pretty.
