Pingbacks & crossposting comments, or not

I've disabled the pingbacks feature on LJ out of privacy concerns--not even primarily mine, but yours.

I've also disabled the comment crosspost feature, and installed this Greasemonkey script to remove the buttons in the comment box. I would prefer your comments on my entries not be crossposted to FB or Twitter, but I'm fairly sure no one with access to friends-only entries is going to do that anyway. (Please don't, LJ friends!) There are, needless to say, large privacy concerns with comments crossposting too.

I don't actually have any invite codes at the moment, but copperbadge is having a codefest, and there's always dw_codesharing.

Nice! I will let people know if I get any comments--I dumped all mine in the comm after the last distribution, and all of them got taken. I have some others from other accounts, I should put them up there too.
