Okay! Moving along, via Diane Duane on Twitter, Disney Sith princesses! Not quite as awesome as the superhero princesses, but pretty damn awesome all the same.

Via torachan, whose linkspam are awesome, sadynax has a quite awesome Sherlock/Holmes fanart, featuring movie!Holmes & Watson meeting BBC!Holmes & Watson crossed over with the Harry Potter-verse. The House sortings are ridiculously appropriate, so much is explained just by their scarves.

kuwdora just made an awesome Inception vid, "PASIV Face," featuring the ensemble set to a remix of "Poker Face." If you watch one Inception vid this season, it should be this one.

Moving along again, the awesome Cindy Pon is having an ARC contest for Fury of the Phoenix, the sequel to Silver Phoenix! And this one is specifically for fans of the book, because the entry submissions are…fanworks, and meta! I used to write Disney fanfic and Disney crossover fanfic (long before Kingdom Hearts, for which I purchased a PS2) and was also a big Star Wars fanboi back in the day, so... so... omg, wow. ^_^

Star Wars is probably my eternal fandom. I think I was four the first time I saw RotJ? And I wrote my eighth grade graduation speech about Star Wars? …Yeah. *happy nostalgic grin*

Kingdom Hearts woohoo! I love KH so much, seriously. I think it is part of the reason these Disney princess things are striking me as so awesome.

Mm, mm! As much as I hate on the new trilogy I never turn down a chance to watch the originals (preferably the minimally re-envisioned ones).* So, yeah... *joins happy nostalgia*

KH did such awesome things for the Disney franchises! I wish Disney would keep licensing more adult-aimed products like it. It's extremely frustrating how little exists for adult Disney fans. :(

And my thinking on this - only in jest - is pretty much 'so, LJ/DW/Western media fandom doesn't really care about anime fans...well, guess what, anime fans don't really care for LJ/DW/Western media fandom' I mean, do we see a debate about Hetalia being picked over other series on the ANN forums or Mania or Toonzone...or, hell, 4chan?

The thing about Hetalia specifically with respect to Yuletide is that YT is for small/rare fandoms, and Hetalia only looks "small" because "small/rare" this year is being determined by # of fics on the Archive of Our Own.

But your larger point stands. :)

It'll be interesting to see where he takes *anything*. He's not on, say, the auto-trust list the way Miyazaki is, but he's on the always-check-out list.

I just want to know why they're not showing any of the unrequited adolescent romantic longings. I mean, it's Shinkai -- there is unrequited adolescent romantic longings. But it doesn't appear in the trailer, in a recognizable way.
