Dear Parallels writer

So a few general notes: thank you for agreeing to write a story in a fandom we both love, or at least remember fondly! I'm genuinely interested to see what caught other fans' interests about all of these sources, so please don't feel that my prompts are too binding. I'd rather have an inspired story than slavish devotion to my requests. If you're looking for more of a sense of me and my tastes, skimming through the last twenty entries on my DW will probably give you a good idea; most of the entries in general are unlocked.

I hesitate to say what I do or don't like in fic--I don't have any major squicks, and no firm principles as to what I will or won't read. That said, it's my general sentiment that Parallels is not the place to go looking for PWP, at least for me; which isn't to say that I wouldn't want sexytimes, as it were, in any story you write, but which is to say that I generally like my sexytimes to go along with plot and characterization. And as you may have guessed from these requests, I do really like women being awesome. In some ways, really, my own fanworks demonstrate both these preferences very well.

1. Gate 7

My request:

Oh, this fandom. Basically I want fic about the moment when Chikahito realizes he's completely in love with Hana, regardless of hir gender. Or about Chikahito learning to adjust to Kyoto (the real Kyoto, not the one in his head), or the epic kink that is Akechi and Date's relationships with their oni, whatever is cool.

Further notes: I love this manga so much, between the prettiness and the fact that it's set in Kyoto and the fact that it's about revived warlords from the late middle ages dueling it out for the strongest power in the world!…or something. I have to admit that I would totally not mind a PWP fic in this fandom, because as far as I can tell the kink practically leaps off the page, with just about every character, though I do find the emotional heart of the story so far to be Chikahito and Hana's connection, and I'd love to see something exploring their relationship. Um. Am I being helpful at all? Anything at all would be awesome, that's all I'm saying.

Resources: As it happens, I've translated the entire manga! There are scanlations around too; I think Fail Manga is using my translations. Official translations will start later this year.

2. Seihou Bukyou Outlaw Star | Outlaw Star

My request:

Basically I am interested in anything post-series exploring their relationship as we saw it being established at the end. Adventure, a slice of relationship, slice of life in space, whatever!

Further notes: This was one of my first anime, lo these many years ago, and I still love it unreservedly. One of the things I really liked, actually, was Gene's magical caster gun, but Gene and Melina were so awesome, especially together at the end, and I'd love to see them just doing their thing, together, in future, working things out between them outlaw style. *oh, 90s anime*

3. Natsume Yuujinchou

My request:

So, I have to admit, I ship the OT3, but if you don't feel comfortable writing them in a relationship, any kind of slice-of-manga/later life fic with their friendship intact would be lovely. But if you do feel comfortable writing them in a relationship, dear writer, I would love to read something set post-canon, post-high school!

Further notes: I just started reading/watching this series, and it hits several of my interest points: youkai, socially awkward people finding people with whom they aren't alone and learning to get along better in the world, dealing with life and its difficulties. I love Natsume and Tanuma and Taki equally, and like I said above, I'd be happy to read about them as friends or as an actual OT3; anything focusing on the three of them would be great.

4. Blood+

My request:

I have a thing for aannggst, I admit, and I would love a slice of angst post-the demise of Red Shield--or before the demise of Red Shield, really, when they're both denying what's completely obvious. Or David and Julia finally admitting their feelings to one another after the final battle. I'm not particularly looking for porn, however.

Further notes: What it says on the tin, basically. I do tend to see Julia as being far more emotionally intelligent and with it than David (witness her behaviour versus his after Red Shield's downfall), so there is that. Whatever would be cool. I'm so unhelpful.
