Father's Day

There are several posts I could make today, right now (and you will see some of them, never fear!), but I wanted to take the time to give a shout-out to my father. I know that my sister and I are incredibly lucky to have a father who is interested in and supportive of us just the way we are and as we want to be, not as he thinks we should be. My dad was the one who bought me the Star Wars novelizations when I was seven years old, because he knew I liked to read and that I liked Star Wars, because he and my mom had introduced me to that and to Star Trek, and in so many ways the rest is history. I wouldn't be who I am today if it weren't for all the things he and my mom did for me, all that they gave up for me, and that's a debt I can never repay.

So thanks, Dad, for Star Wars and for Star Trek and for everything else. You're the greatest. ♥
