What I'm reading
Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan. Lampshading the terrible un-Japanese names of the part-Japanese characters aside, it's fun so far. Also funny, of course. Also I want Kami's wardrobe.

What I just read
A chapter of Katherine Hayles' How We Became Posthuman for class, about the Macy conferences. Frightening stuff, brilliantly written. I did also finally finish The Lives of Christopher Chant. I liked it.

What I'll read next
A Natural History of Dragons by Marie Brennan. And then probably Still Forms on Foxfield. Quakers in space FTW!

Still Forms on Foxfield is the second-best Quaker SF I've read, after The Dazzle of Day. It's certainly much better than Pennterra, which gets more notice and has a very similar plot.

I typed carelessly -- I should have said "got" rather than "gets." I haven't actually seen anyone mention it for a while.

Space Quakers rock. Tho' they don't rule.

I'm reading Natural History of Dragons and so far I'm really enjoying it! She has a strong voice. It's a genre that could be faily but as of page 100 I haven't found it to be so... yet.
