I'm really happy to report that the Ada Initiative has already exceeded its $100K fundraising goal with two days to spare! Every additional dollar raised beyond the goal will go to doing more of TAI's great programming, including running AdaCamps outside of the United States and Australia, so if you've been thinking about donating, it's still a great time to do so!

I wanted to especially highlight the work that the Ada Initiative in general, and AdaCamps in particular, do around impostor syndrome. Impostor syndrome affects many women in technology professions, and, I think, just professional women in general--the feeling that one isn't good enough, that one isn't actually an expert and/or when one opens one's mouth to speak, you'll be exposed as an utter fraud who doesn't belong in the room. It's even possible to have impostor syndrome about whether you really have impostor syndrome!

I've had the privilege of attending two AdaCamps, and the sessions around impostor syndrome and how to recognize and take steps to beat it back have been invaluable. I've seen a few people say recently that they've only encountered the term online, and I wanted to link to the Ada Initiative's impostor syndrome training page. It's no substitute for the awesome experience that is an AdaCamp, but it's well worth checking out and doing the exercises and watching the videos on the page.

And if you can and you'd like to have the opportunity to attend an AdaCamp near you, donate now!
