I love Turning Red so much; even though I'm a few years older than the protagonist, it almost perfectly captured so much of what I remember from being that age in that era. (For the record, I was a Backstreet Boys fan.) And I've been super impressed by The Linda Lindas, a half Asian/half Latinx girl band who rock hard. It was natural to combine them, since I wanted to focus more on the friendships rather than the parental drama, and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. (This was another vid where I was saying to myself "Faster! More intense!" with every test export.) I'm also very pleased with the Toronto skyline in the credits--I taught myself some more very basic Photoshop skills for that, and it felt good.
